NUI - Network User Identifier
Network User Identifier in X.32. When a user is dialling into an X.25 network (rather than being connected via a leased line), it is necessary to provide an identification code to the network to prove who he/she is, otherwise anyone could dial-up and use the network at the user's expense. This is the NUI.
