Licensing

Release 8.3 requires that you acquire new licenses as follows:

• System Software: Licenses for Release 8.2.x software are no longer valid.

• When you insert it, the IP Network Interface Series 2 card defaults to 96 or 192 ports depending on the number of modules. Customers with existing cards must acquire additional licensing to enable the port denstities originally purchased.

• DSP Series 2: You might need to acquire additonal DSP Series 2 card Resource Points for the new functionality on that card. Refer to the DSP Series 2 information in this document.
