Global Variable Updates without Restarting
This feature allows modification of values associated with specific SwitchKit control variables at runtime, without requiring a restart of the Low Level Communicator (LLC). Eight of the most widely-used Control Variables can now be modified on a live system.
Technical Publications
The Converged Services Administrator User’s Guide has two new procedures in Chapter 7 to support this feature:
• Changing Environment Variables at Run-time
• Querying Environment Variables
CSA Support for Routing
This feature embeds the Route Control Tool (RCT) capability within the Converged Services Administrator (CSA) GUI. The RCT was made more intuitive and usable, and now provides the ability to create, save, and download .cfg files within CSA.
Technical Publications
The Converged Services Administrator User’s Guide Chapter 3 has a new procedure, Using the Route Control Tool.
Additional Channel Recovery Method Functionality
Current functionality allows all Non-Idle channels to be released or brought Out Of Service when an application terminates. This feature enhances that functionality to have ALL channels within a channel group, non just the Non-Idle subset, be taken Out Of Service when there is no application watching. This improves LLC’s ability to return channels to a known state after application termination. In addition, it allows the network to reroute calls until an application is available.
