Applications receive the server communication error CTAERR_SVR_COMM when the server fails to respond. Any command issued on the local or remote server can return CTAERR_SVR_COMM.
To monitor the continuing status of the server, applications can invoke ctaWaitEvent during periods of inactivity. This function enables applications that go to sleep on particular threads to monitor the status of the server. For more information about using ctaWaitEvent, refer to Using wait objects.
