Be sure to adhere to the following system requirements.
Note: You should install the VisionVideo QCS software on a dedicated server. Other software applications installed on the same physical device may adversely affect the performance of the QCS software.
Server-class machine that meets the following requirements:
Memory: minimum 4 GB of RAM
CPU: minimum 2 CPU cores
Note: The performance of the VisionVideo QCS (that is, the number of video hours processed per hour) increases as more CPU power is made available.
Operating system:
64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 5, Update 4 or a later Update
Third-party software:
MySQL 5.1.61 client and 5.1.61 server

Access to the public Internet during software installation and setup
The Web User Interface supports Firefox 5.0 and later.
The VisionVideo QCS software requires MySQL 5.1.61 client and 5.1.61 server software.
You should obtain the MySQL software (and appropriate license) and place the RPM packages in the /tmp directory on your server before installing the QCS software. The MySQL RPM packages are installed as part of the QCS software installation process.
If your server already includes the MySQL 5.1.61 client and 5.1.61 server software, you must run the following script to secure the MySQL database with a password before installing the QCS software:
/usr/bin/mysql_secure_installation
