Dialogic to Present on Next-Generation Cloud at Cloud Slam 2011

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

What:
Dialogic will discuss how broader LTE deployments will give rise to the next generation of cloud computing services in the panel session, "Preview the Next-Generation Cloud: Mobility and Productivity" at Cloud Slam 2011, a global virtual conference that covers the latest trends and innovation in the world of cloud communications.

Why:
The combination of more service providers deploying LTE networks and smartphone users' increased demand for media-rich services is taxing the entire mobile video ecosystem. The strain extends from content creation all the way through delivery, and the solution now rests with a growing area of specialist capability providers that supply the interfaces and platforms to support these new services.

Broader LTE deployments will give rise to the next generation of cloud computing services. But along the way, there also will be challenges that must be overcome to meet consumer needs and demands as video becomes increasingly important to mobile users. Carriers must address several additional difficulties, including: gaining increased revenue streams to support infrastructure rollouts, Quality of Service/traffic prioritization models, and the automatic adaptation of the media stream to the underlying conditions.

Neil Weldon, Director of Technology at Dialogic
