Dialogic to Present on Monitoring Video Quality of Experience at ICME 2011 in Barcelona

Wednesday, July 6, 2011

What:
Dialogic will discuss monitoring video Quality of Experience (QoE) at the Industrial Program of the IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME). ICME has been the flagship multimedia conference sponsored by four IEEE societies (Communications, Computer, Circuits and Systems; and Signal Processing) since 2000. The goal of the Industrial Program is to promote applied research and applications, as well as facilitate collaborations between industrial and academia members of the multimedia community.

Why:
As video is becoming increasingly popular for entertainment and day-to-day communications, there is an ever increasing need to assess the QoE of the end user. Dialogic will present a technical paper that proposes a model to enhance the current standardized multimedia quality model and extend it from a planning tool to a real-time video quality monitoring tool.
