Milpitas, CA – October 4, 2012Dialogic Inc. (NASDAQ: DLGC), a leading provider of products and technologies that enable operators to deliver – and subscribers to enjoy – an enhanced mobile experience, today announced that its Dialogic® PowerMedia™ Extended Media Server (PowerMedia XMS) was named a finalist for Light Reading’s Leading Lights Best New Product (Mobile) Award. Nominees were chosen based on the development of “a potentially market-leading product that, through engineering and technical excellence, enables the deployment of profitable next-generation mobile services.” The selection of PowerMedia XMS as a finalist in this category puts it in the elite company of other new mobile products from Apple, Google, Ruckus Wireless, Samsung, and Tekelec.

PowerMedia XMS, which recently received performance certification from independent testing agency, The Tolly Group, is a powerful software media server that enables real-time audio and video communications solutions for mobile and broadband environments on common datacenter server infrastructure. Using IMS and IMS-like architectures along with 4G/LTE networks, PowerMedia XMS leverages top trends in smart endpoints and mobile broadband IP networks by turning smartphones and tablets into audio and video endpoints for calling and conferencing applications, with the distinguishing option to stream video content into the conference.

“We are delighted and proud to be recognized for our efforts to bring cost-effective mobile video communications solutions to service providers that enable them to unlock the vast potential of video and broadband mobility,” said Kevin Cook, President and CEO of Dialogic. “Light Reading's reputation for fiercely independent analysis makes it one of the most credible and authoritative awards programs in the communications industry.”

The Leading Lights Awards are determined by a panel of judges comprised of editors from Light Reading, the world's largest online news service dedicated to the telecommunications industry and analysts from Heavy Reading, a market research organization with similar focus. The Leading Lights Awards recognize public and private telecommunications companies for their outstanding achievements in next-generation communications.

The Leading Lights Awards winners, as well as Light Reading Hall of Fame inductees, will be revealed on Wednesday, November 7, at the Manhattan Penthouse in New York, New York.
