Brazilian MVNO Safra Telecom Chooses the Dialogic® DSI Signaling Transfer Point (DSI STP) and BroadForward Diameter Signaling Controller (DSC) as vital components of its core network

Parsippany, NJ (January 31, 2019) - Dialogica cloud-optimized applications and infrastructure solutions provider for service providers, enterprises, and developers, announced today that J. Safra Telecomunicações (Safra Telecom), a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) of Grupo Safra, owner of well-known Brazilian bank Banco Safra, has selected the Dialogic® DSI Signaling Transfer Point (DSI STP), based on Dialogic® DSI G51 Signaling Controller, and the BroadForward Diameter Signaling Controller (BroadForward DSC) as part of its wireless credit card payment solution. Safra Telecom will function as a full MVNO with its own core network, using the mobile network of operator Claro Brasil. The Dialogic DSI STP and BroadForward DSC will enable advanced SS7 and Diameter signaling scenarios across internal and external network elements.

The Dialogic DSI STP is a compact, server-based or fully virtualized STP, offering advanced screening and translation capabilities with the ability to create flexible user-defined multi-stage routing. A multi-user environment – complete with password security, configurable user privileges and full audit trail – provides adherence to chosen security policies. The DSI STP supports multiple protocol variants and is widely deployed in both fixed and mobile networks.

The next-generation BroadForward DSC will provide Safra Telecom with a software-based, multi-protocol routing and interworking solution. It is designed to orchestrate Diameter signaling services through an easy-to-use GUI, enabling complex routing scenarios while still preserving speed of deployment.  Dialogic distributes, deploys, and supports the BroadForward DSC at leading global mobile network operators (MNOs), MVNOs, and IPX providers.

“The Dialogic STP and BroadForward DSC provide us with the ability to be highly flexible when configuring signaling across network elements and vendor-specific implementations,” stated a representative at Safra Telecom. “This flexibility is critical for an MVNO like us, allowing us to be competitive and innovative.”

“We are excited to have been selected by Safra Telecom to deploy both the Dialogic DSI STP and BroadForward DSC,” added Mike Ward, EVP Global Sales at Dialogic. “Utilizing best-of-breed solutions for SS7 and Diameter equips Safra to become the fastest innovator in telecom in Brazil.”
