Test Application for DM3 Analog trunks
Reason for the problem:
When testing boards with DM3 analog trunks, a standalone software utility is often needed to test certain functionality such as playing files, recording files, making outbound calls, and receiving inbound calls.
Fix / Solution:
This application can be used with either a DM/V160 LP board or a DI/0408LSA Rev 2 (Denali) board. It should be used with Dialogic System Release 6.0 Windows PCI. The program will open the first two analog trunks on the board and can make calls, receive calls, play files, and record files. Because the program is hardcoded to open up dtiB1T1 and dtiB1T2, it may be necessary to disable any other Dialogic boards in the system if they exist.
At runtime, the user is prompted to enter the number of digits they want to dial, and then the dial string itself. This way, long distance calls, local calls, and calls to an extension are possible. The user can also enter 0 for the number of digits if only inbound testing is desired.
After the dial string is entered, global call will start, the first two analog trunks will open, and the user should receive 2 GCEV_UNBLOCKED events. Then the following menu is displayed:
Usage:
c = call
d = drop
m = play music file
r = record file
p = play recorded file
q = quit
When recording a file, the recording will terminate if the user presses a DTMF, or if a silence period greater than 3 seconds is detected. The "play recorded file" option will play whatever the last recording was.
