Find board identity information for RMA

This article describes how to obtain the board identity information ( Serial Number, MAC Address, Part Number, Revision and Model Number) that is required in order to RMA the Dialogic® CSP EXCPU S3 DSPS2 and DSPS2 Plus boards.

Please make sure to follow ESD procedures when handling any Dialogic CSP board.

Extract the Dialogic® CSP EXCPU Series 3 board from the CSP Chassis and place it on a flat surface so that the front of the card is on the right side and the midplane connectors are on the left (as shown on the pictures below).

See the picture below which has A, B, C, D reference next to the labels on the card that explains each label from the above picture.

A: Part Number and Revision Level
B: Model Number (used for Ordering/Sales)
C: Serial Number
D: MAC Address.
Note: the Dialogic MAC address always has a 00201Cxxxxxx format; there are 2 MAC addresses on the board of which the first one is indicated and the second is the MAC+1. This is necessary as there are 2 IP ports on the I/O card and each has its own MAC address. For older boards both MAC addresses were listed and labeled EA and EB (see below for example)

On some older boards the labels are in different locations but the information is the same
