SCAP on the MSP/CSP: Replicated Subsystems
Background:
The text about 'Replicate Subsystems' at http://www.ss7-training.net (chapter 9, SCCP Management) provides useful background to this article.
Reason for the issue:
This article describes the Replicated Subsystem implementation on the Dialogic® MSP Multi-Services Platform (MSP) and Dialogic® CSP Converged Services Platform (CSP).
Implementation:
The MSP and CSP do not support being a replicated SSN. Rather, they support utilizing a replicated SSN located elsewhere in the network.
An STP would normally handle SCMG messages related to replicated subsystems (SOR, SOG, etc). However, if called upon to do so, the MSP/CSP could handle them as well.
In other words, they can utilize replicated subsystems that are F-link connected directly to the MSP/CSP or which are not managed as a replicated SSN by an STP.
MSPSK customers can provision a Replicated SSN within ClientView by right-clicking on the SSN object, then selecting the "New Replicated DPC and SSN":

Non-MSPSK customers can provision a Replicated SSN via the SCCP/TCAP Configure (0x0077) message, config type 9:
