A console based recording utility - mrecorder

Introduction:

In many circumstances, an independent application is desired to use for recording.  It is useful for troubleshooting a variety of audio issues, including but not limited to Call Progress Analysis, audio quality issues, routing issues, etc.

This utility for Windows is a stand-alone application that can perform either regular or transaction recordings (see the Product List below for applicability).

Details:

To use the application, from a command prompt, enter:

mrecorder <recording device> <filename> <source 1> <source 2 (optional)>

Example:

mrecorder dxxxB1C2 recording.pcm dxxxB1C1 dtiB1T1

This uses channel 2 to perform a transaction record of the voice channel 1 and the network resource 1.

To display a help screen, enter:

mrecorder -?

Sources can be any of the following:

dxxxBnCn -- voice resource

lsiBnCn -- analog front end

dtiBnTn -- digital front end

TS -- timeslot

Note: It is preferred to use timeslots when using DMV-series boards as the source, as this prevents the application from opening the devices and therefore protects against possibly having events intended for the original application going only to mrecorder.
