Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)

Network Function Virtualization provides an architectural, vendor-neutral level overview of the issues surrounding large levels of data storage and transmission requirements. NFV is an initiative to virtualize the design, deployment, and management of network services that are carried out by proprietary, dedicated hardware, and to decrease the amount of proprietary hardware that is needed to launch network services.
