Dialogic’s softswitch and media gateway solution scales effectively to provide robust routing capabilities and support for TDM to IP migration

Dallas Fort Worth, Texas – March  13, 2012 Dialogic Inc. (NASDAQ: DLGC), a leading provider of communications technologies that power advanced networks, today announced that SIPxchange, a leading provider of VoIP termination and origination services, chose Dialogic as its core technology provider. The Dialogic® ControlSwitch™ System and media gateway solutions provide SIPxchange with robust routing capabilities, while supporting both TDM and IP traffic.  This positions SIPxchange to reliably and cost-effectively support its rapidly expanding DID origination, Toll-Free and VoIP Termination network that provides ubiquitous Local Access Transport Area (LATA) coverage in the key markets of Texas.

In need of a reliable solution that would support its existing customer base while allowing for growth throughout the United States, SIPxchange chose Dialogic for its strong leadership position in class 4 switching, support for SS7, its carrier-grade Dialogic® I-Gate® 4000 PRO Media Gateway, and an extensive array of Codecs and Protocols, including SIP, MGCP, H.323, T.38, G.711, G.729, G.723, GSM.  In addition, as VoIP becomes the emerging choice for business among carriers within the United States, SIPxchange needed a solution that would allow for cost-effective direct interconnection to the Legacy PSTN Tandems.  Dialogic’s ControlSwitch System, with its distributed media gateway architecture, provides reliability and scalability for interconnection to the PSTN.

Simtaq, a customer of SIPxchange, provides Hosted VoIP PBX to small to medium-sized business customers throughout the state of Texas.  By utilizing Dialogic’s technology via SIPxchange, Simtaq is able to offer its customers a full suite of advanced features with SIPxchange’s high quality voice through its directly interconnected gateways from Dialogic.

"At SIPxchange, our customers always come first and we pride ourselves on the fact that we develop our services using the best and most reliable enabling technology in the market,” said Shane Hanes, CEO of SIPxchange. “Dialogic meets the new and unique challenges associated with delivering a fast-growing VoIP network. Using Dialogic’s technology, we are able to offer our customers superior quality products that meet their individual needs, at a lower price point. Simtaq is a perfect example of that."

Dialogic’s ControlSwitch System and media gateway solutions require very little in the way of hardware equipment, and as a result, SIPxchange was able to reduce its number of servers from 17 to four, thereby further reducing its capital and operational expenditures and moving toward a more eco-friendly business model.

"We are pleased that SIPxchange chose Dialogic to power its VoIP network," said Rob Martinez, vice president of sales, North America at Dialogic. "Dialogic is proud to provide innovative technologies that enable our customers to build advanced communications services with our continued goal of the best possible user experience, over any network."
