Install or Update Diva SDK DLLs
If a new Diva SDK is installed on a particular system there are not all related DLLs in the Windows Server OS system directory (%<windir>%\system32 for 32bit or %<windir>%\SysWOW64 for 64bit environment). Some DLLs may already be present, but could be from an older driver or SDK version. For example SR 8.5 SU9 contains Diva API (dssdk.dll) version 5.5.1.2552 and Diva SDK 5.5 SU2 contains Diva API (dssdk.dll) version 5.5.2.3074.
In this case, when you start Config.exe in the ..\Basic\bin folder (for 32bit environment) or ..\Basic\bin64 (for 64bit), there will be an 'Update' button in the 'Version' tab.

Click 'Update' to copy the newer DLLs to the system directory.
Please note:
- The 'Update' button will not appear if these newer DLL files version are already present in the system directory.
- If a newer System Release Service Update is installed after the Diva SDK, a newer DLL for the Diva API may be automatically copied to the system directory during the installation process.
- Apart from the Diva API (dssdk.dll) and Diva Component API (divasdk.dll) newer Diva SDK versions contain new components (e.g. Diva API Java Native Interface Library).
- Depending on whether there are already CAPI driver DLLs installed in the system directory, the versions of these DLLs will also be displayed in the 'Version' tab. These DLLs are actually not part of the SDK itself, but part of the Diva System Release software. Without the presence of these DLLs, a Diva SDK application will not work since the SDK is based on CAPI.
