Upgrading a Diva Client installation to Windows XP

If you run the Windows XP Upgrade Advisor before upgrading from another Windows operating system to Windows XP, the Upgrade Advisor will detect that your current drivers are not compatible with Windows XP. You will receive messages like 'Hardware might need additional files' and 'Network Incompatibilities: Eicon ISDN Interface Protocol'.

If you upgrade without following the procedure on this page, your existing drivers will be retained and will not work with Windows XP.

Windows XP includes built-in drivers for Diva cards but these built-in drivers will not be used unless you follow the procedure on this page.

Recommended procedure for upgrading to Windows XP if you have a Diva card installed:

Step 1. Uninstall the drivers of your Diva card. For Diva Client cards (Diva 2.01, Diva 2.02, Diva Pro, Diva USB, and Diva Mobile):
Use the 'Uninstall' program under 'Start > Programs > Diva'.

Step 2. Remove the Diva card physically from your PC

Step 3. Upgrade your operating system to Windows XP

Step 4. Re-install the Diva card in the PC and re-boot. Once you have Windows XP running, shut down the system, and re-insert your Diva card. After booting the PC, the built-in drivers for the Diva card will automatically be installed.

Step 5. You can now go ahead to install the latest drivers available from the download wizard
