Uninstalling the Diva Client Adapter

Should you need to uninstall the Diva Client Adapter use the uninstall option in the Diva Client Software.

Step 1. Go to Start > Programs > Diva > Uninstall

Step 2. Once you press uninstall you will be prompted with a warning to make sure you do want to remove the adapter.

Step 3. Press ok to proceed with the uninstall of the adapter.

Step 4. You will see the following message when the Diva Client Adapter has been successfully uninstalled. Press OK to finish

Still encountering problems after uninstalling?

If you are still encountering problems, like installing or using other applications which make use of CAPI, after following the uninstall procedure above. This could be due to the following reason:

The uninstall utility supplied with the version 3.2 Diva client driver leaves the following key still intact in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CAPI20\1

This entry causes some applications to detect that the Diva CAPI driver is still present, and could result in these programs either failing to install or giving error messages that another CAPI driver is present.

Solution:
This issue has been addressed in the latest version of undiva.exe which removes this registry key thereby leaving the system free of any trace of the Diva CAPI driver.

If you are experiencing problems removing the Diva client drivers from your system, you should download this version of undiva, unzip it, and then run it to perform a clean uninstall.

After running the program, you should then reboot your PC and re-install the application experiencing the issue.
