Using Diva Client CallGuard

The Diva Client CallGuard allows you to protect your ISDN connection from unauthorised use and thereby to control your ISDN charges.

With the Diva Client CallGuard tool, you can:

  • Enable or disable forwarding of calls
  • Allow or block incoming calls
  • Allow or block outgoing calls
  • Ask for confirmation before accepting an incoming call of a specified number
  • Ask for confirmation before calling a specified number.

In order to use Call Guard, first make sure that you have the latest version of the driver installed. 


Then proceed as follow:

Step 1. In the Diva Client Program Group select Diva Client CallGuard

Step 2. The following window should open:

Here you can enter several parameters:

  • Enable Call Forwarding: Will enable or disable Call Forwarding. You need to check with your line provider to activate this feature.
  • Filter Incoming Calls: Will enable or disable the filter for the incoming calls. The Allow Unconfigured Incoming Numbers option will allow not listed numbers to be answered.
  • Filter Outgoing Calls: Will enable or disable the filter for the outgoing calls. The Allow Unconfigured Outgoing Numbers option will allow not listed numbers to be dialled.
  • Set password: Will allow you to set a password to protect the settings of the ISDN CallGuard tool from unauthorised changes.
    Note: The password is case sensitive. Should you forget the password, you will need to reinstall the driver.

Step 3. To set a list of numbers the card can answer, click on the Incoming Calls tab.

Click on the Add button:

Here you have 3 options:

  • Allow: Allow this number to be answered.
  • Block: Block this number to be answered.
  • Ask for confirmation: Ask for confirmation every time before answering.

Step 4. To set a list of numbers the card can dial, click on the Outgoing Calls tab.

Click on the Add button:

Here you have 3 options:

  • Allow: Allow this number to be dialled.
  • Block: Block this number to be dialled.
  • Ask for confirmation: Ask for confirmation every time before dialling.


Step 5. To activate your configuration, click on Apply and then OK.

Step 6. Now ISDN CallGuard should be enabled.
