How to disable optional services from starting up

Introduction

Dialogic® PowerMedia™ XMS has a number of optional services that are by default enabled to start when the system boots up or when services are restarted. Not all the optional services may be required, for example, the "verification" service is required only for demonstration purposes and is not required on a production system. This article describes how you can disable optional services from starting up.

Procedure

1. Log on to the Web UI.
2. Click on the "Services" tab
3. For each optional service that is not required, double-click the cell under "On Start Enabled". A drop-down list with "yes" and "no" options will appear as shown below in this example from PowerMedia XMS 2.2.
4. Select "no" from the drop-down list to disable the service from start-up.
5. Move the cursor from the cell and click elsewhere on the page to save.
