OAandM

  • The HMP Diagnostics Guide presents diagnostic utilities that can help developers test and debug applications, and troubleshoot the system's operation.

Programming Libraries

  • Call Control

  • The Digital Network Interface Software Reference provides reference information on the Digital Telephony Interface (DTI) library, which can be used to develop applications requiring the ability to manage digital network interface (E1 or T1) connections to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). Note: The DTI library is an older, lower-level library that has largely been subsumed into the Global Call API library. Although the DTI library continues to be supported, it is documented primarily for purposes of backwards compatibility. New applications should generally be developed with the comprehensive Global Call API library, which is now the preferred library for managing E1 and T1 telephony signaling.
  • The Global Call API for HMP Programming Guide provides guidelines for building computer telephony applications that require call control functionality. Such applications include, but are not limited to, call routing, enhanced services, unified messaging, voice messaging, LAN telephony services, computer telephony services, switching, PBX, interactive voice response, help desk and work flow applications.
  • The Global Call API Library Reference provides reference information for building computer telephony applications that require call control functionality.
  • The Global Call E1/T1 CAS/R2 Technology Guide provides information that is specific to developing Global Call applications that use E1 CAS or T1 robbed bit technology.
  • The Global Call IP for HMP Technology Guide provides information about using the Global Call API for building applications that implement host-based H.323/SIP call control.
  • The Global Call ISDN Technology Guide provides information that is specific to developing call control applications that use ISDN technology.
  • Conferencing

  • The Audio Conferencing API Library Reference provides reference information for building computer telephony applications that require conferencing functionality.
  • The Audio Conferencing API Programming Guide provides guidelines for building computer telephony applications that require conferencing functionality.
  • Continuous Speech Processing

  • The CSP API Library Reference provides reference information for building computer telephony applications to be used with automatic speech recognition (ASR) engines.
  • The CSP API Programming Guide provides guidelines for building computer telephony applications to be used with automatic speech recognition (ASR) engines.
  • Device Management

  • The Device Management API Library Reference contains reference information for all functions, parameters, data structures, values, events, and error codes in the Device Management API.
  • Fax

  • The Fax Software Reference provides reference information and guidelines for building computer telephony applications with fax capability. Applications include fax-on-demand, enhanced fax services, and fax broadcast.
  • IP Media

  • The IP Media Library API for HMP Library Reference provides reference information for developers using the IP media software to implement media services in IP telephony applications. The library provides functions to control IP media devices, start and stop RTP media streaming, handle DTMF, manage QoS alarms and their thresholds, and control volume for voice applications. Note that the IP media library does not perform call control or control the IP signaling stack.
  • The IP Media Library API for HMP Programming Guide provides guidelines for using the IP media software library to implement media handling in HMP applications. The library focuses on media functionality and relies on the use of a separate IP signaling stack to handle call control and media characteristic negotiations. In addition to managing and controlling IP media devices, the library provides functions for DTMF handling, Quality of Service (QoS) alarms, and volume control.
  • Standard Runtime Library

  • The SRL API Library Reference provides reference information for the Standard Runtime Library (SRL) when developing computer telephony applications. The SRL provides a common interface for event handling and other functionality common to all devices, such as network interface, voice, and fax devices.
  • The SRL API Programming Guide provides guidelines for using the Standard Runtime Library (SRL) when developing computer telephony applications. The SRL provides a common interface for event handling and other functionality common to all devices, such as network interface, voice, and fax devices.
  • Station Interface

  • The Station Side Interface API Library Reference provides reference information about the functions, parameters, error codes, data, and example code for the Station Side Interface (SI) API.
  • Voice

  • The Voice API for HMP Library Reference provides reference information for building computer telephony applications that require call processing functionality, such as voice recording and playback, voice encoding, tone detection and signaling, and much more.
  • The Voice API for HMP Programming Guide provides guidelines for building computer telephony applications that require call processing functionality, such as voice recording and playback, voice encoding, tone detection and signaling, and much more.

Demos

  • The Audio Conferencing API Demo Guide provides an overview of the Host Media Processing conferencing demo, demo system requirements, and instructions for running the demo. Detailed information about how the demo works is also included.
  • The CSP API Demo Guide describes demonstration programs that illustrate key Continuous Speech Processing (CSP) features such as voice activity detection, barge-in, pre-speech buffering, and echo cancellation.
  • The Global Call API Demo Guide describes a demonstration program that uses the Global Call API to set up and tear down calls on channels specified by the user, using the protocols identified by the user.
  • The IP Gateway (Global Call) Demo Guide describes a demonstration program that uses the Global Call API to build a PSTN-IP gateway application.
  • The IP Media Server for HMP Demo Guide describes a demonstration program that uses the Global Call API to build an IP media server, providing voice and T.38 fax services via IP technology.
